In recent years, IV therapy has emerged as a compelling method for delivering essential nutrients and hydration directly into the bloodstream. To delve deeper into the profound impact of IV therapy, we’ve sat down with our business owners, an IV nurse and just recently we sat down with Kristen, one of our longest standing Drp IV dispatchers, who shared her experiences and insights from her time with Drp IV.
Kristen’s journey into the realm of IV therapy came after a long career as a 911 dispatcher. Following the birth of her third child, diagnosed with a bleeding disorder, Kristen sought a career path that offered flexibility while aligning with her passion for helping others. “I had been working as a 911 dispatcher for nine years at that point and I knew I couldn’t work with that schedule with how his life was going to be, especially because we didn’ know what it would look like at that point”. She found her calling in IV therapy, drawn to its transformative potential for enhancing wellness.
During her time with Drp IV, Kristen has seen patients go from their lowest point to getting some level of immediate relief, all from the comfort of their own home. “I think it’s a really cool thing when someone is not feeling well…Plus it’s from the comfort of your own home. Your bed, your lazy boy, your couch. The bathroom floor if you can’t make it away from the toilet. It’s just you can make it really convenient for people and it’s a cool thing to be able to help people feel better by the time the nurses leave they’re already feeling better”.
Kristen shared with us that her personal favorite drip is the Mega Myers. “Probably because the Myers is our most popular. It helps with everything from hydration to immunity. It kinda hits everything. Then the Mega Myers does that with more. So I really like the Mega Myers”. She continues to explain that there really is a drip for everybody. Whether you’re looking for wellness, energy, hydration, pain relief, or more – Drp IV has got you covered.
What distinguishes IV therapy is its efficiency in delivering essential nutrients directly to the body’s cells, bypassing the digestive system for rapid absorption. Kristen recounted numerous instances where patients experienced significant improvements in their well-being after receiving IV therapy, particularly during bouts of illness such as the flu or COVID-19. The ability to provide relief and comfort to individuals in the familiarity of their own homes adds an extra layer of value to the service.
As the first main point of contact for our patients, our dispatchers are tasked with the important job of answering common questions people have about IV therapy. Kristen shares that many people are curious about how long IVs take. “We tell people to plan on like an hour but that ‘s the average time but sometimes it’s even shorter depending on how quickly your veins let the drip flow. Sometimes it’s a little longer if you have smaller veins or whatever, there’s different things that can make it take a little longer but the whole process from start to finish being 45 minutes to an hour 15 to an hour 30 is amazing”.
We are so grateful for Kristen and her IV therapy expertise. She has been a dedicated team member that has brought so much to the company and to our patient’s experiences! Stay tuned for more insights from our remarkable team at Drp IV!
